-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- LaVerne Neininger Devine DEVINE, LAVERNE NEININGER, 81, of Portland, passed away Saturday, June 7, 2008 at Rockford Manor. She was a graduate of Ahrens Trade High School and a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church. She was a former cashier for the old Mills Drug Store at Third and Broadway. She is survived by three sons, Edward J. Devine III (Donna), Michael J. Devine (Sandra) and Thomas Patrick Devine; two sisters, Jean Lewis (Mort) and Carol Carrico; four grandsons, Edward IV, Daniel, Timothy (Emily) and Joseph (Julia) Devine; three granddaughters, Michelle Perkins (Don) and Erin and Megan Devine; and one great-grandson, Tucker Patrick Devine. Her funeral Mass will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 2222 W. Market St., with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be noon 8 p.m. Tuesday at J.B.
