LaVerne was survived by her loving husband, David M. Grant; daughters, Rita Logsdon (Charles), Pauletta Alexander (Mike), Annette Fusting (Jim Hudson); sons, Jerry S. Grant (Joyce), James Grant; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren; six step great-grandchildren; sisters, LaVena Duvall, Linda Parks; brothers, Bill Ferguson, and Ray Ferguson.
Funeral services honoring LaVerne's life will be 11 a.m. Monday at Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 4400 Dixie Hwy. Visitation will be 1-7 p.m. on Sunday.
The family requests that donations be made to St. Vincent DePaul.
