Lavonne Sanders

Sanders, Lavonne C.,61, of Louisville, died Saturday, July 11, 2015 at Floyd Memorial Hospital in New Albany, IN. She was the former Lavonne C. Hawkins and worked in the accounts payable department of Floyd Memorial Hospital.Lavonne was a 39-year cancer survivor.She was preceded in death by her parents, Romeo C. and Deloris L. Hawkins and brother-in-law, Bob Sanders.She is survived by her husband, Dennis G. Sanders; son, Patrick M. Sanders (Angie); brother, Ronald D. Hawkins; grandchildren, Joshua and Sarah; great-grandchild, Gabriel and a large extended family of Kathy Sanders, Susan and Bud Metzler, Steve and Donna Sanders, Becky and Carl Humphrey and many nieces and nephews.The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Bosse Funeral Home, 1355 Ellison Avenue at Barret Avenue, with interment to follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Wednesday.
