HURD, LELAND S. "BUD" JR., 89, of Louisville, died Saturday, March 2, 2013, surrounded by his loving family.
He was a World War II Navy veteran and worked for Louisville Gas & Electric for 43 years. He was a member of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He never met a stranger and was known for his happy spirit.
He was preceded in death by his son, Terry Leland Hurd.
He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Geneva and four grandsons, Steven (Stephanie), Sean, Colin and Hunter (Amanda) Hurd.
His funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy., with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens, West. Visitation will be after 11a.m. Tuesday until the service.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to the American Cancer Society.
