TURNER, LENA M., 89, entered into rest on Thursday, March 8, 2012 at Baptist East Hospital.
She was a retired cafeteria manager for the Jefferson County Board of Education. She was a member of the First Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Mrs. Turner was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon B. Turner; her foster parents, Bob and Lelia Goodman; her sisters, Eva Butler and Pauline Ramsey; and brothers, Emmett and Avery Gray.
She is survived by a son, Chuck E. Turner (Ann); a daughter, Janet M. Turner; a brother, Grover Goodman; a grandchild, Amy Clark of Denver, CO; a great-grandchild, Shelby Clark; and numerous nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.
Her funeral service will be 1:30 p.m. on Monday at the Arch L. Heady Funeral Home, 8519 Preston Highway, with interment following in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visiting will be at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-8 p.m. and after 9 a.m. on Monday.
