DENNING, LEONA "JANE," 88, passed away March 14, 2011 at Essex Nursing and Rehab.
She was a retired employee for Charlestown Ammunition Plant. She was a member of Valley View Community Church, Eastern Star Queen Esther, Kentuckiana Antique Car Club and the Red Hatters.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Denning; daughter, Barbara Ann Denning; sister, Mildred Newton; and brother, Dick Cook.
She is survived by her grandson, Jerry Walker and wife, Jo; sister, Lois Carter (Lee); brother, Jack Cook (Diane); and niece, Jan Kessinger (Joe).
Her funeral service will be held Saturday 10:30 a.m. at J. E. Ratterman & Son, 7336 Southside Dr. with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens-West. Visitation 2-8 p.m. Friday.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Gilda's Club of Louisville.
