She was a native of Louisville, KY. A Bindery Supervisor for General Printing Company, a member of Beechland Baptist Church and Past President of the Beechland Baptist Live Wires.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hulie O. Shain.
Survivors include her brother, James Poore; daughters, Sandra Green, Deborah Ewing, Gayle Todd; grandchildren, Mark Shumate, Tracy Carrico, Todd Ewing, Jason Perkins, Aaron Perkins; great-grandchildren, Hailey Ewing, Blake Ewing, Morgan Hofmann, Ayden Perkins, Jason Perkins, Jr. and Cousins James and Patsy Flowers.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Owen Funeral Home 5317 Dixie Highway burial will be in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be noon - 8 p.m. Sunday .
