SMITH, LILLIE MAE HIGDON, 91, died at her home on February 25, 2011.
She was a former employee of JCPS and retired from The Colonnade. Lillie loved her family very much and she worshipped the Lord at Brookview Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Bertrum Smith; her parents, Joseph and Ada Higdon; and six siblings.
She is survived by her son, Bert E. Smith (Lana); and two grandchildren, B. Taylor Smith and Leah K. Pierson (Dave).
Funeral services will be held on Monday at noon at Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home (Taylor Boulevard) with burial to follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens - West. Visitation will held on Sunday from 2-8 p.m. and 9 a.m. until service Monday at the funeral home www.archlheadysouthernfh.com
