Linden Hill

HILL, LINDEN D., 82, went home to his Lord, Wednesday January 22, 2014 at his residence. Linden was born in Logansport, KY to Luther Davis and Bessie Jewell (Gidcumb) Hill. He was retired from General Electric in the Maintenance Dept. and was a Korean War Army veteran. Linden was a longtime member of the Shively Heights Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife of 56 years, Vondalene (Flener) Hill; two daughters, Linda Darnell Jewell and Sharon Elaine McCord; and a half brother. Survivors include his children, David Hill (Linda), Patricia Jean Mayfield (James) and Joyce Fay Taylor; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy., with burial to follow in Louisville Memorial Gardens West.
