Lloyd Holton Menefee MENEFEE, LLOYD HOLTON, 89 passed away Friday January 22, 2010 at St's Mary & Elizabeth Hospital.
He was born in Fiskburg, KY to Orvie F. and Cora (Elliott) Menefee.
He was a retired master sergeant in the U.S. Air Force with 30 years service and a veteran of World War II, Korea and Vietnam.
He also retired from Firestone Corp. after 11 years service. He was a member of Shively Baptist Church and a former member of 9th & O Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 16 brothers & sisters.
Survivors include his loving wife of 68 years, Opal Mary (Hamlin) Menefee; his children, Pharis Waldridge (Bill), Sandra Rogalinski (Charles), Larry Menefee (Mary), John F. Menefee (Debbie), Phillip Menefee, and Greg Menefee (Karen); 15 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; one brother, Marvin Menefee and ; one sister, Naomi Phillips (Charles).
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy., with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation: Monday, 2 - 8 p.m. and Tuesday, 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.
