She was born June 11, 1934 in Louisville to Florine Carter and Colonel Eaves. Mrs. Manson was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church and a Brown Forman Company retiree.
Loretta is survived by her husband of 60 years, John W. Manson Jr.; sons, John W. Manson III and Glen Manson; daughter, Delanor Manson; grandchildren Je'Retta Manson, Chauncey Woodford, John W. Manson IV, Anjelica Manson; brother, Anthony Glen; uncle, Rudolph Barnett; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. The wake will be 6 - 8 p.m. Wednesday, October 21, 2009 at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, 443 E. Kentucky. The funeral will be 11:15 a.m. Thursday, October 22, 2009 at the church.
The family requests that memorial gifts made to Hosparus, 3532 Ephraim Mc Dowell Drive, Louisville, KY. 40205.
