THOMPSON, LOUIS B. SR., 86, passed away on Monday, April 22, 2013. He was a loving and caring husband, father and grandfather. He was a retired independent fuel distributor, charter member of the former St. Clements Catholic Church now St. Peter the Apostle and the Friendship Club. He was also an Army veteran.
He was preceded in death by daughter, Sheila Thompson; grandson, Christian Alexander; and brothers, John and Francis Thompson.
He is survived by his wife, Mary; children, Louis B. Thompson Jr., Pamela Tucker, Teresa Lester (Jim), Beverly Garuccio (Rick), Brenda Thompson, Christopher Thompson (Tina) and Charles Thompson (Carol); siblings, include Rita "Imogene" Prang (Don), Betty J. Brumfield (Scotty), Eddie Thompson (Deannie), Robert Thompson (Judy), Norbert Thompson (Bonnie), Edith Laughlin, Billy Thompson (Jeannie) and Rosemary Ryan; 16 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
His service will be on Saturday, 11 a.m. at the St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, 5431 Johnsontown Road with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be on Friday from 1-8 p.m. at the Heady-Hardy Funeral Home, 7710 Dixie Hwy.
