Gillis, Louise Compton Story View/Sign Guest Book GILLIS, LOUISE COMPTON STORY, 88, of Louisville, died Wednesday April 23, 2008, at Norton Audubon Hospital. She is now in the loving arms of her Lord. She is with her husband, Weldon H. Story Sr., a pipe fitter with Local 522, who preceded her in death. We are sure she and her sister, Mary Ferguson, are already planting flowers and feeding the birds. These were two of their favorite things. She is survived by her children, Suzanne Spears (Norman Bowlin), Weldon H. "Don" Story II (Bertha) and Anita L. Barmore (Paul); grandchildren, Jamie and Neal Spears, Eric and Sara Story and Benjamin, Amy and Chelsey Barmore; and great-grandchildren, Cole and Taylor Spears. Her funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at Audubon Baptist Church, 1046 Hess Lane, where she was a member, with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Friday at Embry-Bosse Funeral Home, 2723 Preston Highway and after 9 a.m. Saturday at her church. Memorial gifts may be made to Little Sisters of the Poor.
