Louise Kitchen

Louise Kitchen, 92, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, September 2, 2022, in Clemmons, North Carolina.

Preceding Louise in death was her husband, Eugene “Shorty” Kitchen in 2012; her son-in-law, Jimmy Chandler; along with her parents, Elmer and Nannie Bratcher.

Left to cherish the sweet memories of Louise’s life is her two children, Mike Kitchen and Sharon Chandler; her four grandchildren, Amanda, Jeremy, Dylan and Danielle; her four greatgrandchildren, Payton, Layla, Madeline and Everly; along with her two sisters, Mary Brown and Nancy Bratcher.

Louise was blessed to have a long, loving marriage with Eugene for 66 wonderful years before his passing in 2012.  Together they were known as “Shorty and Blondie”.  Many memories were made in their decades together while raising their family and being the perfect example of love, kindness, patience and Godliness.

Always known for being dressed like a million dollars, Louise was not only gorgeous on the outside, but also had the sweetest heart.  Louise was a Christian and sent many years working at her church.  Fishing was a lifelong enjoyment for Louise.  She loved her grandchildren so very much and was always at their events and games.  Louise will be so greatly missed and remembered by her family.

Funeral Services to celebrate Louise’s life will be at 7PM on Wednesday, September 7, 2022, at Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Home West, 4400 Dixie Highway, with Reverend Danny Thomas officiating.  Interment will be private at Louisville Memorial Gardens Cemetery West.  Friends may call on the family on Wednesday from 3PM until service time at the funeral home.
