YOUNG, LUCY KERR, 87, of Louisville, passed away Sunday, June 28, 2009 at the Episcopal Church Home.
Lucy graduated from the University of Louisville when she was 78 years old and enjoyed education, gardening and traveling.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar A. Young; a son, Richard Kerr; and two daughters, Betty Young and Cathy Knight.
She is survived by a son, Steve Young (Cathy); two daughters, Sue Voit (Larry) and Linda Young; a brother, Kenneth Kerr; three sisters, Ruby Johnson, Ruth Bentley and Eva Sadler; seven grandchildren, Timothy, Mark and David Voit, Misty McNichols, Lacey Burgess and Richard and Ellen Young; and five great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Ratterman's, 3711 Lexington Road with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens East Cemetery. Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. Tuesday.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Leukemia/Lymphoma Society.
