Bischoff, Mabel B. View/Sign Guest Book BISCHOFF, MABEL B., 90, formerly of Okolona, died Monday, March 31, 2008, at Autumn Woods Health Campus, in New Albany, IN. She was the former Mabel Blanche Hignight. She was born May 21, 1917, in Halfway, AR. She retired from the old Taylor Drug Store, after being a homemaker. She was also a beautician and shop owner and took several college courses, when she was in her 50's. She will always be remembered for her love of life and devotion to family. A great sense of humor and determination got her through some tough times in life. Her warm smile and contagious laughter will be deeply missed by many. She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Maggie Hignight; and her siblings, Beryl Lewallen, Joe Hignight, Ed Hignight, Mae Garrett and Billie Weakley. She was the loving mother of Deanna Bischoff, of Louisville, James Bischoff (Jan), of Fayetteville GA, Cheryl Coyle (Jeff), of Copley, OH, Edgar "Ed" Bischoff Jr., of Englewood, FL and Karen Lambertus (Mark), of Corydon, IN. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Ralph Knollenberg, Donna Reynolds, Teri Phillips, Brian and Jason Bischoff, Scott and Shannon Miller, Judd Coyle, Eddie and Sasia Bischoff, Andrea Villarrubia and Melissa and Zachary Lambertus; 10 great-grandchildren; her sister-in-law, Velma Hignight; and her cousin, Bernice Stivers. Her funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Rita Catholic Church, 8709 Preston Highway, with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be from 18 p.m. Friday at Embry-Bosse Funeral Home, 2723 Preston Highway.
