SAMS, MARDEL, of Louisville, died Friday June 26, 2009, at Norton Healthcare Pavilion.
She was a retired executive secretary for Holiday Inn Downtown, and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Elks Lodge #8.
She is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Edwin "Forest" Sams Sr.; daughter, Sharon Teague; son, Eddie Sams (Deshawn); grandchildren, Haley and Michael Breeden and Trey and Chase Sams; and brothers, Lenny and Del Black.
Her funeral service will be held noon Monday at Ratterman Bros, 3711 Lexington Road, with cremation to follow. Visitation will be noon-8 p.m. Sunday.
