Margaret "Maggie" (Dooley) Blaufuss BLAUFUSS, MARGARET "MAGGIE" (DOOLEY), 86, died peacefully on Monday, February 22, 2010.
Maggie was a loving mother, devoted spouse and caring grandmother. She was an active member of Sts. Mary & Elizabeth Women's Auxiliary for over 20 years and the American Legion 220 Post Women's Auxiliary for over 40 years. She served as past president in both organizations. She also served as vice president of the patient council at Britthaven Nursing Home where she had been a resident for the last eight months.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Irvin Dooley and William Blaufuss; daughter, Sharon Raley; son, Lawrence Dooley; and stepdaughter, Donna Lyle.
She is survived by her son, Michael Dooley (Mitzie); daughters, Patricia Fowler and Martha Riggs (Mel); stepdaughters, Ann Gassman, Shirley Simpson, Linda Woods, Lisa Waxler and Teresa Collard; sisters, Kate Daub, Sarah Conder and Emily Newnum (John); brother, Charles Hamilton (Kathleen); 20 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.
Her funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at Mary Queen of Peace (St. Denis campus), 4205 Cane Run Road, with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be 1-8 p.m. Thursday at J.B. Ratterman & Sons-Southwest, 4832 Cane Run Road.

Maggie loved life and everyone in it, and will be deeply missed.
