Gilpin, Margaret Alvina Torstrick View/Sign Guest Book GILPIN, MARGARET ALVINA (TORSTRICK), 86, of Louisville passed away Wednesday February 18, 2009. She was a member of New Salem Baptist Church, and Barker Eastern Star Chapter # 79. She was preceded in death by her parents, Emma and Martin Torstrick; her husband of 53 years, Earl Gilpin; and a granddaughter, Sydney Goodson. Survivors include her three children, Martin Gilpin (Joyce), Margie Nickoles, and Janet Lile (Mike); eight grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren; two very special friends, JoAnn Wheatley and Jimmy Pence. The family would like to thank the staff on the 5th floor a Sts. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital, and the staff of Georgetown Manor for all their loving care and kindness. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday at the Owen Funeral Home 5317 Dixie Hwy. with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West.
