JOLLY, MARGARET AILEEN YATES STEVENSON, 88, entered into Heaven on Thursday, February 14, 2013 at Glen Ridge Health Campus with her daughter, grandson and staff by her side.
She was a long time volunteer at the old Sts. Mary and Elizabeth Hospital and made telephone calls for Tele-Care until she was 85, remarking that the only contact these "old people" may have are the calls she makes to them.
She worked at Iroquois High School, was a member of several Senior Clubs in the Beechmont area and Arcade Baptist Church, a Kentucky Colonel and former member of Eastern Star.
Preceding her in death were her parents, James and Lela White Yates; husbands, Jesse D. Stevenson and James Jolly; son, Phillip Reese Stevenson; two sisters; and brother.
She is survived by children, Sherry Rapson (Doug) and Roger Stevenson (Diane); grandchildren, David (Lisa), Jeffrey (Laura), Kevin (Dorothy) and Eric (Bridget) Rapson, Carla Mitcham (Stephen), Dawn Zeller and Bryan Stevenson; 15 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Her funeral is 10 a.m. Tuesday at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Monday.
