BROWN, MARGIE CHRISTINE, 87, of Louisville, entered into rest on Sunday, April 21, 2013 at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown, KY.

She was a homemaker, but also volunteered with the DAV Okolona 116 and Missionary Girls with Beechland Baptist Church and was a poll worker. Mrs. Brown was member of the OES, Shively chapter.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Raelene Brown and two great-granddaughters, Linda and Melinda Baxter.

Mrs. Brown is survived by a daughter, Priscilla Murphy; a granddaughter, Mayanna McCoy; a great-grandson, Andy Baxter; two sisters, Irene Dedrich and Louise Russell and a brother, Omer McWhorter.

Her funeral service will be on Wednesday at 12:30 p.m. at the Arch L. Heady Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 8519 Preston Hwy., with interment following in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 2-8 p.m.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the DAV.
