Marietta Mae Thurman (Sweasy) Share E-mail Visit Guest Book THURMAN, MARIETTA MAE (SWEASY), 90, passed away Saturday, September 19, 2009 at Rockford Manor.
She was born in Bloomfield, KY to John and Naomi (Greer) Sweasy. She was co-owner of Thurman Electric Service for over 40 years. She was a member of 1st Baptist Church of Leitchfield.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Arthur C. Thurman; a son, Donald Thurman; and one sister, Gladys Webb.
Survivors include her children, Harold R. Thurman, Barbara Hernandez (John), Judy T. Evans and Cathy Petty (Rick); nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; and her loving companion, Michael James.
Funeral service will be Tuesday, 11 a.m. at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy., with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation: 1 - 9 p.m. Monday.
