Marion Ray Coverdell

Marion Ray Coverdell, 76, of Louisville, Kentucky, returned to the arms of his Heavenly Father on Friday, February 9, 2024.  

Ray was a native of Kalispell, Montana.  He enlisted in the Army right after high school and served his country in Vietnam.  He worked as a machinist at Henry Vogt Machine Company and retired to spend many years volunteering with the Boy Scouts of America.

He was preceded in death by his father, Arell; his mother, Vera; his brothers, Stan and Kevin; and his loving wife, Frances Victoria (Vicky).

Ray is survived by his sister, Trish (Pat); his brother, Doug; his son, Sean; his daughter-in-law, Tiffany; and his grandpuppy, Otis.

A funeral service with military rites to honor Ray will be at 2:00 PM on Thursday, February 15, 2024, at Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Homes West, 4400 Dixie Highway.  Friends may call on the family from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the funeral home.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to The Home of the Innocents or Alzheimer's Association of Louisville.
