Marion Heaps

HEAPS, MARION BERNS , 84, passed away Tuesday, December 2, 2008. He was born December 9, 1923, in Escalante, UT. Following his service in World War II, he received his master's degree from the University of Utah. He continued his service to his country as the Chief of Social Work at the Veterans Hospital for 42 years. A loving husband, father, and grandfather, he is survived by his wife of 60 years, Annelu Grant; his children, Col. Robert S. Heaps (Suzi), Corinne Barnett (Gerald), James Heaps, David Heaps, Christopher Heaps (Geri), Janet Griffo, and Patricia Hensley (Bryan). He will be dearly missed by his beloved grandchildren, Jake, Alicia, and Angie Heaps; Mary, Victoria, and Ashley Heaps; Corey Griffo; and Alex and Reagan Hensley. His funeral service will be 1 p.m. on Friday at Arch Heady Westport Road with burial to follow in Louisville Memorial Gardens East. Visitation will precede the funeral service from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Friday. The family would like to acknowledge the compassionate team at Baptist Hospital East for their excellent care.
