He was a retired TARC employee, an Army veteran and a member of Southside Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife the former Frances Looney; one son, Kevin McDowell; brothers, Roddy, Kenny and Stanley McDowell; sisters, Norma Jean Krieger and Helen Barr and two grandchildren. Funeral service: 11 a.m. Wednesday at Nunnelley Funeral Home, 4327 Taylor Blvd., with burial at Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation: 2-8 p.m. Tuesday.
