COFFEY, MARVIN LLOYD COFFEY, 87, formerly of south Louisville, passed away into eternal rest, Thursday, April 19, 2012.
He was a retired supervisor for Cissell Manufacturing, where he had worked for over 40 years, a World War II Army veteran, past master of George Washington Masonic Lodge #904 and a long time faithful member of Hazelwood Baptist Church, where he had served as deacon, Sunday School secretary and teacher. His favorite pastimes were fishing, enjoying a good hearty meal with friends and the many many hours of caring for his grand dogs, Rusty, Bear, Samson and Gracie.
Marvin was preceded in death by his parents; a twin brother, Melvin; and his beloved wife, Lois Marie (Churchman) Coffey in 2000.
Survivors include daughters, Judy Coffey and Nancy (Bob) Heckel; also by several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Celebration of Life:11 a.m. Wednesday at Hazelwood Baptist Church, 4201 Taylor Blvd. with interment in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Nunnelley Funeral Home, 4327 Taylor Blvd.
Expressions of sympathy may go to the memorial fund of his church.
