Jane Biery

Mary Jane Biery, 87, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, April 14, 2023. Jane was born on March 11, 1936, to the late William and Melissa (Johnson) Medley in Springfield, Kentucky.

Jane was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church. She was an avid UK basketball fan and loved her old western movies. She loved her nightly highballs and was a wonderful cook. She was known for her jam cakes at Christmas, even wrapping and mailing them to family members that were out of town, she would do anything to show her love. She loved her grandchildren fiercely, and she always took care of her family, starting at a young age, and could always be counted on to listen with a comforting ear. She had a loving, caring, serving heart, and she will be greatly missed.

Preceding Jane in death were her parents; her husband, Merle E. Biery, Sr, ; her infant daughter, Catherine Brown; and her granddaughter, Tiffany Zehnder.
Left to cherish the memories of Jane’s life are her children, Ronnie Brown (Sandy), Bill Brown and Tina Kilner (Lloyd); her step-children, Joe Brock, John Biery (Melissa), Merle Biery, Jr., Timmy Biery and Debbie Davis; her grandchildren, Jimmy Brown, Lori Harbolt, Danielle Brown, Rusty Brown, Robbie Brown, Tyler Costa, Ryan Costa, Steven Kilner, Jamie Kilner, Joe Brock, Allen Brock and DeShea Richards; her 32 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10AM at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 1925 Lewiston Drive, on Thursday, April 20, 2023, with interment to follow in Louisville Memorial Gardens Cemetery West.  Family may call on the family Wednesday from 2PM until 8PM at Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Homes West, 4400 Dixie Highway.
