CASE, MARY AMELIA, 82, passed away peacefully in her sleep after a long courageous battle with Alzheimer's on Friday, January 4, 2013.
She was retired from the Jefferson County Clerk's Office after 20 years of service, which she loved, as well as traveling, reading, going out to eat, and of course, Churchill Downs.
She is predeceased by her loving husband of 30 years, William H. Case; her parents, Ralph Langell and Virginia Thompson; siblings, Betty Reynolds and Bobby Langell; grandson, Doug Case; and daughter-in-law, Laura Case.
She is survived by her five children, Ron Case (Becky), Rick Case, Cheri (Brian) Batcheller, Cindy (Steve) Swanks and Mark (Jessica) Case; seven grandchildren, Kelly, Billy, Shaina, Sierra, Shannon, Tyler and Gunnar Case; and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at noon on Tuesday at Ratterman Grand Chapels, 4832 Cane Run Road, with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
