VANCLEVE, MARY ETTA BELL, 93, of Louisville, went to her Heavenly Father on October 25, 2011.
She was a hairdresser and cosmetologist and owned the Bell Beauty Shop in the 60's. She retired as a deputy clerk for Jefferson County Circuit Court at the age of 80. She was past Matron of Crescent Hill Eastern Star Chapter #265, member of the Maharannee Tri-County of Jeffersonville Shrine Guild, and Lee's Lane Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Truman VanCleve; parents, Irvin and Sadie Basham; brothers, R.D., Ray, George, and Irvine Jr. Basham; sister, Lyla Rae Basham; and loving daughter, Alice Hall.
She is survived by her daughter, Connie Whelan (Jim); son, Ronnie Braden (Eloise); brothers, Raymond, Bobby, and Bill (Vivian) Basham; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a friend, Alberta "Sis" Long.
Her funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday at the Heady-Hardy funeral home, 7710 Dixie Hwy. Interment will be in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 2-8 p.m. Friday. For more information please visit us at www.headyhardy
