Mary Jackie

JACKIE, MARY ELAINE (JONES), 83, passed away Monday September 9, 2013. She retired from the Jefferson County School Board after 20 years and was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church. She is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years James E. Jackie; and her twin sister Lorraine Schoenbaechler. She is survived by her daughter Denise Dillard, her son Mark Jackie (Sandy), sister Reba Boklage and four grandchildren, Sarah Dillard, Maggie Dillard, Ava Jackie and Sam Jackie. Her funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Thursday at her church, 6901 Dixie Hwy., with entombment at Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation is at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy., 2-8 p.m. Wednesday. In lieu of flowers the family ask that any expressions be made to The Mass of the Air.
