Thompson, Mary Jo Hatton (Stephenson) THOMPSON, MARY JO HATTON (nee STEPHENSON), 71, of Brownsville, KY, passed away Saturday, April 14, 2007 at Greenview Regional Hospital in Bowling Green. Born in Louisville, she was a real estate specialist for the U.S. General Services Administration, a graduate of Valley High School Class of 1952 and graduated summa cum laude from Georgia State University. She was a musical director of the award-winning Falls of Ohio Women's Chorus of Louisville and Song of Atlanta Women's Chorus of Atlanta, Georgia. She was also a Kentucky Colonel. She is survived by her husband, Paul L. Thompson; brother James W. Stephenson III; cousin, Mona Claire Peerce Wood; children, Allen Wesley Hatton, Kenneth Ray Hatton, JoAnne Hatton, Janice Evelyn DeCuir, Lou Ellen Johnson; 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. All those touched by Mary Jo's music and poetry are invited to attend a memorial celebration of her life at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 21, 2007 at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd. Family and friends will gather from 1p.m. until time of service Saturday. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the American Heart Association.
