LEWIS, MARY "MAXINE," 89, of south Louisville, passed away Tuesday, October 25, 2011.
She was the former Mary Carver, a native of Difficult, TN, a retired secretary for Otto Drugs, a member of New Heights Baptist Church and The Friendship Club.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Joseph "Jay" Lewis.
Survivors include sons, William J. (Jeannie) and Charles A. (Sharon) Lewis; daughter, Sally Osborn (Mark); sister, Rachel Witten; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral service is 9 a.m. Saturday at Nunnelley Funeral Home, 4327 Taylor Blvd. with burial at Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation is 3 - 8 p.m. on Friday.
The family requests contributions to New Heights Baptist Church, 7315 Southside Dr., Louisville, KY, 40214.
