Mary Meeve

September 8, 1927 — February 23, 2015

Meeve, Mary Virginia "Jenny" Bracey,87, passed away February 23, 2015 after a valiant struggle with heart disease.Jenny was the youngest child born to Edwina and Gilliam Bracey in Crittenden County, KY. She moved to Louisville with her family, where she graduated from Ahrens Trade High School. While working for Western Union and visiting relatives in Portland, OR she met and married Jack Meeve and gave birth to their two daughters. Jenny worked for Pediatrics Assoc., where she celebrated 50 years of service, in 2012, her colleagues becoming part of her extended family.For years she was an avid swimmer at the Southwest Family YMCA where she made many friends such as her soul mate, Ida Hartlage. Neighbors Billy Murphy and Delores Fletcher were also part of her extended family. She was a former member of the Bethany United Methodist Church in Valley Station. Jenny loved life, being active, being around family, and friends and especially, working in her huge flower garden. The last two years of her life, she left her beloved Kentucky, to live in Las Vegas, NV, so a daughter and family could oversee her healthcare. While living in Las Vegas, she made many friends and enjoyed activities in her assisted living facility, as well as being close to her only grandson. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brother, Leonard Bracey, and nephew, Jack Senn. Surviving, are her daughters, Candy Draeger (John) and Paula Krasky (Tom); grandson, Blaine Krasky; beloved sister, Lemmah Senn, and the entire Senn family. Her family would like to thank all of those extended families, and friends who were with her in life, and offered prayers, and assistance, during her illness. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your local animal shelter . Visitation will be Friday, March 6, 2015 from 2:30- 6:30 p.m. and Saturday, from 9-11 a.m., with funeral services Saturday, March 7, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Owen Funeral Home 5317 Dixie Hwy.
