Slinker, Mary Lucy View/Sign Guest Book SLINKER, MARY LUCY, 86, adored wife, mother and Nana passed away Thursday, May 8, 2008, at Baptist Hospital East Palliative Care. She was the former Mary Lucy Sanders, originally from Green County, KY and a member of Hurstbourne Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, John Paul and Louise Sanders (Coffey); her beloved sisters, Lelia Penick and Dorothy Carle; and grandson, Blake Holtzman. She is survived by her loving husband of 69 years, Herman Slinker; son, Donald Slinker, of Louisville; daughter, Deanna Johnson (Bob Holtzman), of Trumansburg and Brooklyn, NY; grandchildren, Ron Johnson (Kathleen), of Fort Mitchell, KY, Rebecca Page Johnson, of Ithaca, NY, Brian Johnson (Michelle), of St. Louis, MO, Eddie Slinker, of Louisville and Molly Young (Greg), of Orlando FL; great-grandchildren, Haley Slinker, Elizabeth Page Halton, Charlotte Johnson, Emma and Julia Hughes; and sisters, Helen Lyons, of Louisville and Marion Acree, of Greensburg, KY. The family wishes to express its sincere gratitude to the caring staff at The Forum Health Care Center and Baptist East Palliative Care, for their loving care of our mom. Funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Monday at Pearson Ratterman Funeral Home, 12900 Shelbyville Road, with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be held 4-8 p.m. Sunday.
