STEPHAN, MARY ELLEN (SPAULDING) 85, of Louisville, passed away Monday, April 15, 2013.

Mary was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

She had previously volunteered at Sts. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital Aux.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Herman Stephan; and two brothers, Lamar and Nick Spaulding.

Left to cherish her memories are five daughters, Linda Moore (Carl), Karen Stephan, Terri Samples (Jerry), Lisa Atkinson (Joe) and Judy Cronin (David); six grandchildren, Whitney, Craig, Alex, Travis (Heather), Taylor and Rachel and one great-granddaughter, Mollie; a cousin, Donna Cecil.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at the Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy. with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Wednesday and after 11 a.m. Thursday.
