Wice, Mary Jean View/Sign Guest Book WICE, MARY JEAN, returned to be with her Heavenly Father, Friday, December 7, 2007, with her family by her side. Jean was born in Sacramento, KY, in 1926, one of five daughters of Ray and Gladys Coffman. Jean was married to Joseph Paul Wice, her loving husband of 42 years before his passing in 1993. A beautician in her early years, Jean became a homemaker once her sons were born. Jean was a member of Beechmont Baptist Church for over 40 years. She cherished the many friends she met through church. Faith, family and friends were Jean's guiding light throughout her life. Her memory and spirit, the lessons she taught and the guidance she gave will always be remembered and cherished by her family and those close to her. Jean was very loving of her family as they were a great joy to her. She held Lauren and Claire especially close to her heart. They shared much laughter and love during their times together. The family is especially appreciative of those who ministered to and cared for Jean during her illness. Jean is survived by her sons, Donald E. Wice and Daniel J. Wice (Lisa); granddaughters, Lauren and Claire; sisters, Margaret Albin, Ann Stroud, Addie Garst and Joyce West; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be noon Monday at JE Ratterman & Son, 7336 Southside Dr., with burial at Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation: 2-8 p.m. Sunday.
