Mary Wilkins

WILKINS, MARY "RUBY" CULVER, 92, was granted her angel wings on Saturday, January 18, 2014 at Audubon Hospital. Mary Ruby was born on March 13, 1921 in Culvertown, KY to Lawrence and Elizabeth (Thornsberry) Culver. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James Russell Wilkins; her brothers, Joseph Richard Culver, James Russell Culver and Richard Culver; grandsons, Rusty Bradley and Joey Willett; and her son-in-law, William Gillon. Mary Ruby was a member of Sts. Simon and Jude Catholic Church, the Red Hat Society, Sts. Simon and Jude Senior Club and for many years volunteered at the Sts. Simon and Jude Clothing Store. She is survived by her six children, Theresa Anne Bradley (John E.) of Bardstown, KY, Joseph William Willett (Debi), James Willett (Barbara), Mary E. Hardesty (Richard), Thomas Willett (Connie) and Tammy Gillon, all of Louisville. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. Her funeral service will be on Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at noon at the Arch L. Heady Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 3601 Taylor Boulevard, with interment following in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 2-8 p.m.
