Coffey, Melvin T. View/Sign Guest Book COFFEY, MELVIN T., 83, husband of Rose Marie Coffey, passed away Sunday, December 30, 2007. Born in Louisville, he was the son of the late Freeman and Mayme Coffey. He had served in the U.S. Army during World War II and retired from Naval Ordinance, after 32 years. Other than his wife, he is survived by his children, Dennis Coffey (Phyliss), Beverly Wright (Kevin) and Sharon Burden (Roger); grandchildren, Amanda Burden and Ben Coffey; a brother, Marvin Coffey; and two nieces. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway, with burial to follow in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. Tuesday and after 9 a.m. Wednesday. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association. Published in The Courier-Journal on 1/1/2008.
