Michael Burden

Michael "Mike" Burden, 64, loving husband to Deborah Higdon Burden, passed away peacefully with his wife and daughter by his side on Monday May 25, 2015 at Norton Brownsboro Hospital. Mike was born to the late Chalmer Burden and Ethel Minnie Parks Burden in Bowling Green, KY on July 19, 1950.
Mike was a retired police officer for the City of Shively and was currently the Code Enforcement Officer for Shively. He was a Kentucky Colonel, a member of Shively FOP Lodge 17, and River City Masonic Lodge 966 F. & A. M.
Besides Debby, his wife of 45 years, he is survived by his daughter Jennifer Schweitzer (Mark), grandson, Corey Bratcher (Maggie), step granddaughters, Jordan and Blake Schweitzer along with his mother Minnie Burden.
A celebration of Mike's life will be held Thursday May 28 at 6:00 p.m. at the Shively Community Building, 1901 Park Road, Shively, KY.
