Michael Simmons

Simmons, Michael Ray,58, passed away on July 16, 2015.He was the retired owner of Simmons Cabinet Co., a member of Shively Masonic Lodge #951, Valley of Louisville Scottish Rite, and the old 18th Street Baptist Church, and was a Marine and Army veteran.Preceding him in death was his mother, Margie Simmons, his sister, Rose Barnes, and brother, William "Tooter" Miller.Survivors include his father, Ed Simmons (Louise); his son, Joshua Simmons; step-daughters, Donna Huntt and Linda Thomas; his sister, Diane Jackson; nieces, Missy Jackson and Jackie Elswick; and nephews, Christian Elswick and Ricky Miller.Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Monday and after 10 a.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
