Burkhead, Mildred "Lou" (Hawkins) View/Sign Guest Book BURKHEAD, MILDRED "LOU" (HAWKINS), 89, a native of Hart County, KY, passed away Sunday, February 22, 2009 at Norton Hospice Hospital. She was retired from Phillip Morris after 35 years of service, a member of Eastern Star, and Auburndale Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray E. Burkhead; four brothers; and four sisters. She is survived by her sister, Wanda Lawson; and many loving nieces and nephews. A celebration of her life will be held noon Wednesday at the Southern Home of Arch L. Heady & Son, 3601 Taylor Blvd., with burial to follow in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be 3-8 Tuesday, February 24, 2009.
