CAVINESS, MILDRED, 90, of Louisville, passed away December 7, 2012.
She spent her life as a homemaker, caring for her family and was a Methodist. She was a lifetime member and Past President of the Iroquois American Legion Post 229 Auxiliary, Past President of both the 5th District of the American Legion Auxiliary and Department of Kentucky American Legion Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Neal Caviness Sr.
She is survived by her sons, Billy and Neal Caviness; daughters, Kayse Paul (Ray), Anna Baker (Ben), Barbara Smallwood, and Charlene Thieneman; grandchildren, David Paul (Lynn), Michelle Marrillia (Brian), Mark Baker (Ginny), Eric Smallwood (Ondrea), Jessica Smallwood and Stephanie Thieneman; and great-grandchildren, Alexander, Elizabeth, Ben, Matt, Jack, Alyssa, Tyler, Abigail, Sevren and Tent.
Her funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Heady-Hardy Funeral Home, 7710 Dixie Hwy with interment to follow in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 1-8 p.m. Monday.
