STELZER, MILDRED (MEEKS), 92, of Louisville, passed away on September 25, 2011.
She had worked for over 40 years as the secretary for her church, Carlisle Avenue Baptist, was a Louisville Girls High School Alumni and Silver Trefoil with the Girls Scouts of America.
She was preceded in death by her husband of over 71 years, Emil Stelzer; her parents, Mary Elizabeth and Lawrence Meeks; and sisters, Lucille Meeks and Arbutus "Boots" Williams.
She is survived by her daughters, Sharon Ann Blankenship and Phyllis K. Martin (Tony); grandchildren, Holli Blevins (Will), Beth Long (Paul), Arnold Blankenship (Tricia), Tony Martin (Allison) and Heather Cox (Frankie); and 10 great-grandchildren.
Her service will be 10a.m. Wednesday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy., with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens, West. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Tuesday and after 9 a.m. Wednesday until the service.
