THOMASSON, MILDRED L. (GEARY), 89, went home to be with her Heavenly Father on July 31, 2012.
Mildred retired from Reynolds Metals Company. She was a member of Harvest Baptist Church.
Mildred was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, J. B. Thomasson; her son, Dennis Eugene and seven brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her daughter, Barbara T. Hunter; her grandchildren, Dennis Hunter and Rob Hunter (Carol Ann); her great-grandchildren, Chase Hunter (Makenzi) and Trent Hunter.
Her funeral service will be held Saturday, August 4, 2012 at 10 a.m. at Arch L. Heady and Son at Westport Village, 7410 Westport Road with burial immediately following at Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation is Friday from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
