BRANDENBURG Wurzel, Mildred Carr Earles 78, passed away on Tuesday, January 29, 2013, at her son's residence in Mt. Washington.
Mrs. Wurzel was a multi-talented lady, who thoroughly enjoyed gardening, sewing, cooking and drawing. She was also very involved in all the activities associated with her Doe Valley community.
She is survived by her husband, Norbert L. Wurzel, Brandenburg; three children, Robert Earles, Mt. Washington, KY, Kevin Earles, Louisville and Sandra Hardin, Franklin, TN; two stepsons, Stephen Wurzel, Cox's Creek, KY and Lester Wurzel, Louisville; two grandchildren, Kristie and Kelli; five stepgrandchildren, Eric, Amber, Whitney, Lynsey, Ashton; and five great-grandchildren.
We, the family, would like to thank and acknowledge Mildred's extensive caregiver, Linda Torres.
A chapel committal service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the Louisville Memorial Gardens West in Louisville. Visitation will be held at Hager Funeral Home, Brandenburg, 2-8 p.m. Thursday.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Alzheimer's Association. Online condolences may be left at www.hagerfuneralhome.com.
