Minnie Jones

, MINNIE LEE, 86, passed away Monday, November 17, 2008 at Meadowview Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Owen County, KY, to William A. Stafford and Ella K. Stafford. She attended the Spencerian Business College and was employed as a bookkeeper by several trucking companies, Kentucky Rural Electric, and Louisville Metal Treating Service. She was a member of Lyndon Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert A. Jones; two sisters, Phyllis Mefford and Martha Compton; and her brother, Paul F. Stafford. She is survived by her daughter, Barbie Kinney; son, Ken Jones; two grandchildren, Robert Haynes and Bethany Haygood; numerous nieces and nephews; and lots of friends at Meadowview. Her funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday at Arch L. Heady Westport Road, with burial to follow in Louisville Memorial Gardens East. Visitation will precede the funeral service from 9-11 a.m. Friday. In lieu of flowers donations may be given to the Meadowview Staff Activity Fund, 9701 Whipps Mill Road, Louisville, KY, 40223.
