NAPIER, MINNIE LAVONNE "GRANNY," 79, peacefully passed away on Sunday, May 13, 2012.

LaVonne was born on March 15, 1933, the daughter of Rev. Howard and Laura O'Banion.

She was a wonderful wife, mother, granny and friend. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, singing and listening to gospel music.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert "Bob" Napier, who passed away June 24, 1980; brothers, English O'Banion and Howard Loy O' Banion Jr.; and sister, Elaine Hines.

She is survived by her children, Debbie Stinson (Dana), Bob Napier, Rodney Napier (Candy) and Mike Napier (Pam); 13 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank the staff at Cave Run Manor and Life Care Center of Morehead for her wonderful care. A special thanks to Dr. Ed Scott.

Funeral service will be noon Saturday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy., with burial to follow in Louisville Memorial Gardens, West. Visitation will be Friday, 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
