Smith, Murry Hill View/Sign Guest Book SMITH, MURRY HILL, 83, of Louisville, passed away on Wednesday, February 6, 2008 at Baptist Hospital East. He was born December 3, 1924, in Muhlenburg County, KY to Earl and Opal Smith. He was the owner of Murry H. Smith Realtor, a member of the Greater Louisville Association of Realtors and a World War II veteran, serving with the Air Force. Murry was preceded in death by his wife, Myrtelle; and his son, Phillip Murry Smith. He is survived by his daughter, Elaine Morrison (Butch); stepdaughter, Donna Kay French; sisters, Mona Griffin and Virginia Tipps; grandchildren, Jessica and Lauren Smith, Erin Beeler, Jill Murphy, Mark Norton, Kelly Janssen and Chris Morrison; two step-grandchildren, Beth McKendrick and John David French; eight great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Karen Smith; and five nieces and nephews. A celebration of Mr. Smith's life will be held noon Monday at the Southern Home of Arch L. Heady & Son, 3601 Taylor Blvd., with burial to follow in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be from 1-8 p.m. Sunday and after 9 a.m. Monday.
