Nadine Gunter

GUNTER, NADINE SMITH, 76, loving wife for 18 years to Ralph E. Gunter, passed away Thursday November 28, 2013 at Summerfield Manor Health and Rehab Center. She was born to the late Thurman and Phoebe Pendley Belcher on May 14, 1937 in Morgantown, KY. She is also preceded in death by her brother, Drexal Belcher. Nadine worked at Kroger for 44 years and was a member of Cloverleaf Baptist Church. She is survived by her children from her first husband the late Douglas C. Smith; Gary Smith (Carrie), Melissa Jackson (Richard), and Amy Mills (Mark); stepchildren, Allen Meyers and Beth Bittner; along with her grandchildren, Corey Smith, Adams Nichols, Aaron Davis and Amanda Mills; stepgrandchildren, Robbie Meyers and Megan Bittner; and three great-grandchildren, Jeannie Smith, Adien Nichols, and Andrew Smith. She is also survived by sisters, Dottie S. Cardwell and Wanda Schulz. Funeral services will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 4400 Dixie Highway, Louisville. Visitation will be Sunday from 2-8 p.m. and Monday from 9 a.m. until time of service.
