WALKER, NELSIE M., 92, of Louisville went to be home with her Lord on Tuesday March 5, 2013 at Baptist Hospital East.
She was the former Nelsie Ashlock, a native of Hardin County, a retired employee of J. C. Penney Co., and a member of Expressway Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Walker and a daughter Linda Gale Walker. She leaves to cherish her memory, a daughter, Darlene Eakin (David); a son, Kenneth Walker (Debbie); grandchildren, Heather Boatright (Scott), Jonathan Eakin (Sherri), Michael Pratt (Jing-Jing), Jennifer Celestino (Adriano), and Deanna Walker; seven great grandchildren, and many friends and extended family.
A celebration of Mrs. Walker's life will be held noon Friday in the Southern Chapel of Arch L. Heady & Son, 3601 Taylor Blvd. Interment will follow in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Thursday, and after 10 a.m. Friday.
